District is a collection of desks, cabinets, windows and walls that reinterprets systems furniture. District combines the attributes of classic furniture with the functionality of systems, making efficient use of smaller footprints. District is also influenced by modern European residential furniture, characterized by a light, floating presence and compact dimensions. Teknion incorporates these concepts into familiar forms such as desks and bookcases that meet the needs of small office spaces.

Designed with an elegant and simple geometry, ie allows creative planning possibilities with little restriction on layouts and angles. In its simplest form, ie exists as a freestanding desk or "platform" which supports the user and required work tools. Using the ie Post-and-Beam structure, the product provides an architectural framework or "skeleton", supporting work surfaces, services, equipment and accessories, and can divide space on a bigger scale - creating interior and exterior workspaces using the same series of integrated, task-related components.
